Cookie policy

Last updated: October 2026

This cookie policy explains how Scottish Energy Efficiency uses cookies and similar technologies on the website heatingfinancescotland.co.uk. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve the site and the service we offer. For example, cookies may help us see which pages are visited most often, how visitors found the site, and whether technical issues are occurring. This information is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.

We do not use cookies to show you advertising on other websites, and we do not sell the information collected through cookies to any third party.

Types of cookies we may use

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to function correctly. They enable core functionality such as security and form submission. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.

Analytics cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of the site. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site.

All cookies used on this website are either strictly necessary or analytics cookies. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Each browser is different, so consult the help menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. You can usually choose to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or accept only certain types of cookies.

Please note that if you disable strictly necessary cookies, some features of the website may not function correctly, including the enquiry form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
